Falcon Cards is a sister product of Falcon Forms. Falcon Cards is a one-stop solution for your secure storage and management of your payment cards such as credit/debit cards. By using this app, you don’t need to have the physical card with you always whenever you need to refer to the card details.
Falcon Cards has an On-Device AI engine that can scan basic card info like Card Number, Expiry, and Card Holder’s Name. This AI engine runs within the app alone and it is completely offline. It does NOT use any sort of over the network data transfer.
Is the data secure in the app?
– Falcon Cards uses the LocalAuthentication framework provided by Apple to enable access to the app using Face ID or Touch ID or Device Password.
– Falcon Cards does NOT use over the network data transfer in any form. It is a pure offline app. All details are stored within the app.
– Falcon Cards stores the card details by encrypting them on disk with standard AES-256 encryption by supplying a 64-byte encryption key. The encryption keys are randomly generated within your device. The encryption key is securely stored in the Keychain so that other apps cannot read the key.
– Falcon Cards uses an in-house card scanner (no third-party scanner) to scan card details. This scanner runs within the app alone and it is completely offline. It does NOT use any sort of over the network data transfer.
Note: For security reasons, in order to use Falcon Cards, your device must be password set or biometrics enrolled.
Is the app free?
Yes, the app is totally free (for now). It can store an unlimited number of cards.
Can the developer have access to the card details in the app?
No, there is no way for the developer to read what is stored in the app. Falcon Cards does NOT use over the network data transfer in any form. It is a pure offline app. All details are stored within the app.
